Sony combines the power of a Tri-CMOS sensor with Full HD 1080i quality to enable professionals to record videos to mini DV and DVCAM tapes and Compact Flash cards. Thanks to the HVR-S270E, you’ll be able to switch from HDV to DV formats easily, and even convert the resolution of your HDV 1080i videos into 576i using its FireWire output. In addition to all these features, the HVR-S270E has a host of different recording modes designed specifically for professionals and digital cinematographers, and a whole set of BNC connectors for connecting a screen, as well as an XLR audio input for adding a microphone. The HVR-S270E even uses Exmor technology, meaning you can attach professional lenses. The HVR-S270E is compatible with Sony Alpha lenses, which are more commonly used for digital SLR cameras, and 1/3” and 2/3” lenses with the provided adapters. Footage filmed by the HVR-S270E is always sharp, because this camcorder captures details on camera even in the lowest lighting conditions with its sensitivity of 1.5 lux; while Tri-CMOS technology and its Enhanced Imaging Processor ensure images are as lifelike as possible.
